The DuctScout enables centimeter-accurate measurement and location of DuctMarker LT GEO and DuctMarker LT. The DuctMarkers are used to mark underground microduct connection points and fiber optic products (e.g., closures, prepared FTTH home connections). The DuctScout locates DuctMarkers up to two meters deep in the ground. The integrated GNSS antenna also allows for the measurement of the position of network elements that have been marked with DuctMarkers. The mapping & locating device is frequency-selectively programmed to 101.4 kHz for telecommunication installations.
In conjunction with the free web application DuctMaps, central documentation and navigation are carried out. All measured marker positions are centrally stored and can be edited, supplemented, or retrieved at any time. The combination of both technologies
enables a direct transfer of geo-data to the DuctScout, thus simplifying the location of DuctMarker LT GEO.
The DuctScout is also compatible with EMS markers from other manufacturers. The precise re-location of markers from other manufacturers depends on the technology used in those products.
